Find Instagram accounts you follow that don't follow you back.

A lightweight browser extension that compares your Instagram followers and following lists, then shows you who isn't following you back. Everything runs locally in your browser - your data never leaves your device.

How it works

• Open instagram.com and log in as usual.
• Click the extension icon and press Check now.
• The extension calls Instagram's own web API (the same endpoints the website uses), compares the two lists, and shows the result.

What this extension does

"Who Unfollowed Me" is a browser extension that helps you identify Instagram accounts you follow that do not follow you back, and vice versa. It does this entirely within your browser by calling Instagram's own web API endpoints from your active session.

What data is accessed

The extension reads two cookies from instagram.com:

• csrftoken - required by Instagram to authorize API requests.
• ds_user_id - your numeric Instagram user ID, used to call the followers and following endpoints.

It does not read or use any other cookies, including sessionid (which is sent automatically by the browser as part of standard same-site request behavior, never read by the extension).

What data is collected, stored, or transmitted

• No data is sent to any external server operated by the developer or any third party. All requests go directly from your browser to Instagram's own servers.
• The most recent check result (a list of usernames, display names, and Instagram numeric IDs) is cached locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local, so you can re-open the popup without refetching. This data never leaves your device.
• You can clear the cache at any time by removing the extension or clearing browser storage.

Permissions

• cookies - to read csrftoken and ds_user_id from instagram.com for building authenticated requests. The extension does not access cookies on any other domain.
• storage - to cache the latest result locally so the popup loads instantly.
• host_permissions: *://*.instagram.com/* - to allow the extension to call Instagram's web API endpoints from your browser. The extension does not communicate with any other host.

Data sharing

The developer does not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no remote logging.

Third-party services

The extension only communicates with Instagram. Your use of Instagram is governed by Instagram's own privacy policy and terms of use.

Children

This extension is not directed at children under 13. The minimum age to use Instagram is 13 in most jurisdictions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
